Matty's four-seam fastball has been clocked at 84 to 88 MPH. He has excellent control, and his cut fastball is just a notch below the four-seamer. Both fastballs have plus movement. He is more of a groundball pitcher. Since he doesn't differentiate speeds much, he is only a tad above average at getting hitters out. He is having a unbelievable season in AAA this season. Matty could be used as a nice trade piece. He could definitely pitch the 7th inning in the ML. He is 26 years old, and is most likely what he will be even in the ML.
