Minor League Update

Sam Hall of the High A Dover Dinklebergs picked up his 22nd save of the season in 1 IP. He closed out the game against the Syracuse Crunch. When Sam was asked what it was like repeating High A for the third time Sam said, "I love playing the game. I hope to get where everyone else wants to be and that is in the majors. I plan on holding on as long as I can to that dream."

Lou Montgomery is tearing it up in High A Dover. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles three nights ago against the Syracuse Crunch. Lou's slash line is .358/.435/.521 on the season.

Willie Johnson of the Low A New York Damage Controllers went 2 for 4 with a walk in last nights game against the Kansas City Hotsteppers. Willie has a cannon for an arm and is able to call a great game. He has a pea shooter for a bat though.

Kevin Floyd of the Low A New York Damage Controllers had an exceptional night two days ago which just goes along with his unbelievable season. In a game against the Kansas City Hotsteppers, he pitched 7 innings of no run ball. He has a 1.94 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP on the season.  Kevin credited his pitching coach Malcolm Karsay with instilling some discipline in him. Kevin said, "Having Malcolm as a pitching coach has really helped me to stay focused. He has instilled discipline for the pitching staff where it is definitely lacking in Rookie ball."
