Edgardo was signed to a $13.1 million bonus as an international free agent two seasons ago. He is playing 2B at AA Montreal, but lacks the glove to really stay at the position. He profiles more as a LF. He has excellent speed and can lay down a bunt. He has been clocked at 3.7 to 1B. Once he is on base, he can steal second easily. He makes average contact, but struggles as a switch hitter. His plate discipline is only average which means he will have to derive all of his value out of his ability to get on base and steal a base. He can definitely steal, but he lacks the on-base ability needed. His ceiling is a ML bench player used for pinch running, and his floor is a AAAA player. You might see Edgardo on Montreal's bench in a couple of seasons. If so, make sure your pitchers know to throw over and keep him close to the bag.
